We want to take out the white blocks in front of the house and build a porch. What is the best way to do it with minimal work( not touching roof line) because inspector told us I don't need permit unless I touch roof and if porch is less than 36" high. We are eventually going to redo entire driveway later, just working one thing at a time because we have been in construction for a year now, inside the house is almost done and I'm working my way out. Here is a picture of my house. I'm planning on taking our steps and metal railing too. Please help!
