Considering hammered copper countertops for our basement bar. Wondered how difficult they are to maintain. Beautiful. Difficult decision so any thought would be greatly apprecaited.

That countertop isn't hammered. My husband made a copper top bedside table that he distressed/aged & then sealed with wax. It's held up nicely.

Love the copper countertop but am wondering what surface to you have on the other countertops? Cement or stone? Hard to tell....I'm planning a copper island countertop and not sure which way I want to go w/ the other surfaces. Thanks!

The copper is a beautiful addition to the kitchen, however I wouldn't do all the countertops. It's not as durable because acids can stain it. The other countertops are a beautiful green granite I can't remember the name of it but it was not a spotty granite, it had long strokes of different greens and tans.

where can I get the copper hood
All the copper in this house is shiny, not hammered and it definetly shows wear and marks. But that is fine with me. It polishes up nicely and not too much effort. I will post the manufacturer of the hood this week when we are at the house.
