The overhead light does look pretty imposing in that picture. It seems way too large for that low of a ceiling.

Hard to tell, is the light over the bed? Or is it over the coffee table...somehow it almost looks in between....

I could if that humongous light wasn't there.

Ha, Sochi, I thought the same. It reminds me of the invaders space craft from Close Encounters. With the lights off, I can sleep pretty much anywhere. What would bother me more is all the sunlight in the morning from those windows, lovely as they are.

On second look. it may be an optical illusion that the light is over the bed. It may actually be over the coffee table, so it is closer to the observer in the picture and looks larger.

I agree in that I think it might be over the coffee table. It is a very pretty room.

Looks like a pinata.

They seem to be squeezing a lot of stuff into a small space. Is this a studio apartment in NYC?

What a puzzling photo! I don't think the light is over the table because of the lines in the ceiling. It really looks like a headbanger to me...

Great for that earthquake we had an alert for here couple days ago..huge lamp that's about to hit your scull but seven pillows to put on your head to protect from it if you're real, real fast:)

It looks like a poorly done photoshopped pic to me.

No. It looks cramped enough in there without filling all the air space above too.

I also think that the bed is too large and the comforter is too loud. It looks terribly uncomfortable.

I think it may be hanging over the coffee table and made huge by use of a wide angle lens.

Yes, the light is over the coffee table for reading. I think the room is pretty.

This is vern yip's georgia home and the caption for the pic says the lamp is over the bed.

And speaking of lamps, I need a lamp by my bed, but here it looks like there are none.

How much calmer would that room look without all the damned pillows? And minus that overhead light, of course.

It looks like a blimp!

The good news is, the windows have excellent reading light.

Vern Yip. I wonder why he needs such a multifunctional bedroom. There's a desk, bed and sitting area with a sofa in that tiny room. Way too much stuff in there too, including pattern and color.

I love the colors used, but the lamp! I don't know if it's really that huge or if it is the photo perspective.

It looks like it was photoshopped into the pic! I agree with the pillow statement also, too many for my taste. I also generally don't like comforters/bedspreads folded down. I think the bed looks unmade.
