I am starting a new garden bed.

will be using the standard irrigation hose in my region: 16mm (2/3'') diameter, with drippers every 30cm (1') that supply approx 1.8 liters per hour.

I need help coming up with the optimal row spacing to suit a variety of crops.

crops that take over and require a lot of space, such as peanuts/sweet potatoes, I will either not plant in this bed, or plant the entire bed with them.

As an example, in the immediate future future, I will plant mainly peas, along with carrots, beets, winter greens, and broccoli.

I am thinking of creating 10 rows, each one 10 meters (30') long

space between rows will alternate between 60 cm (2') to 120 cm (4')

essentially, creating 5 pairs or rows, with 120cm between each pair and 60 cm inside the pair.

the wide sections between the pairs will serve as walkways.

This spacing is larger than needed for peas, much larger than needed for carrots/beets/greens, and probably just large enough for the boccoli.

space savings is not a priority right now. comfortable reach and ideal conditions for the plants are more important.

I plan to put this system in place soon, any suggestions would be much appreciated.
