Easy change - Leave everything else and pop a sunshine yellow front door on / paint the screen / storm door too.

I was just looking around the internet for pergolas and I saw some for over garage doors. I don't know if that interests you or not, but they look really nice.

You could get a new garage door with more detail (panels, etc.), make your entry door bright red and definitely plant shrubs and flowers along the driveway. If you have a more generous budget you could repave your driveway with stone pavers: the pattern would make this large driveway seem more in scale with the house.

I meant to add whatever you do? don't paint one of those murals on your garage door! LOL

First thing is to remove the shutters. (Shutters should look, when closed, as if they would cover the windows. If that won't happen, remove them.)

The three windows to the left of the door….paint them black, mullions included. Paint your house trim and the garage door a deep gray. Your front door a gloss black.

I don't think you need anything planted under the front windows.

The yard, I could not comment on, as I have no landscaping advice to give you.

Your house has a good feel.

It's almost as if your house is divided in half - the right side looks like an empty "before" photo, and the left, an "after" because all your greenery is on the left. I would definitely place some white wooden trellises on each side of the garage door, with vines growing up the sides, it would balance the look. Also consider going with a new garage door, with windows or some sort of design element, if it's in your budget. It would make a huge difference. Remove the storm door, and paint the door a cheerful color

I think the house is fine, but you need a pretty planting area that isn't too rectangular - not a circle in the middle of the yard, but something sinuous. Your planting just doesn't go far enough out into the front yard. The driveway is very rectangular and gray, so it would be nice to soften it with planting, as well.

Plant flowers/ground cover along each side of the driveway, something that mounds and spills over the edges to soften the lines of the driveway and make it look less like a severe dividing line up the middle of the lot.

Great to have a large garage but often they stick out being so blank compared to the rest of the house. I saw these faux window decals for garage doors. I like the idea, I've never seen it in person though.

Depending on your budget, I will paint the main door black, install black garage door hardware ( for the looks, it looks like door hinges but this is for decorative purposes than faction. I will pressure wash your house , walk way, and give your driveway a make over. After all that is done, make a nice arrangement of flowers to tie everything together. Look at this driveway we ave done in the past. Our client wanted an upgrade and curb appeal.Inside garage flooring was also done to top off everything.

Ekhayadesigns: By the way, the driveway is stained and engraved, not stamping.If you look at close ups, it looks like brick borders and tiles but it's not. Engraving creates the pattern as seen on the pictures. No cement used what so ever.

Landscape something like this idea along the one side of the driveway and across the front of the porch and house. It would look great and your house is very pretty.

Your house is very nice. I think you just need some landscaping and maybe paint your front door so it stands out a little more.

I like the classic look but would add a bright color to the door. if those red flowersare perrennials I would try to match them.I'd make a curving flower border from the corner of the front walk to the corner of the house. use so very low growing shrubs like dwarf yaupon holly. add perrennials like Irises(can't kill'em)at either end. A small rosebush would be pretty in front the window but require more work.

Some possible trim colors ...

Love a soft blue-gray with red brick and a simple landscape to compliment the contemporary lines of your home, as in my doodle below . Not as blue as in my sketch but couldn't duplicate it in this software. A medium shrub, not too close to the foundation , on each side of your house would help block view beyond . Flower bed with perennials, ornamental grasses, low growing evergreens and annuals add color . Ideally you need a walkway that visitors can use to approach the entrance .
