Nope, I'm avoiding Flora Exotica. I actually found someone locally (from Etobicoke) on Kijiji who had several citrus varieties that I cannot find anywhere else. There are still more that I could have got, but I've showed some mild self restraint...Yesterday I received:

(1) Fukushu Kumquat

(2) Minneola Tangelo

(3) Oro Blanco Grapefruit

(4) Moro Blood Orange

(5) Castello Lime

(6) Lee x Nova Mandarin

(7) Pixie Mandarin

(8) Buddha's Hand

All are on dwarf rootstock except for the Buddha's Hand (I will try to Bonsai this tree). I also got four varieties on dwarf rootstock from FruitTreesandMore back in late September. They are doing fantastic. From there I received:

1) Washington Navel Orange

2) Cocktail Grapefruit

3) Seedless Kishu Mandarin

4) Tarocco #7 Blood Orange

I think this brings my count to 24 different varieties of citrus... not very much compared to some on here!

Great additions Stefan! I am still amazed of how well you do with those light! Those are all great additions. I've never heard of the Castello lime...what is the fruit like? Congrats on your new additions...pretty soon you will catch up to me ;-)

You don't need stakes. They are for shipping. The straps will girdle the tree and the tree will grow to rely on the support.

It's a Mexican Lime variant:

'Castello lime' is a strain of the Mexican lime that originates from the Valle de Yaqui, Mexico. Home growers have taken a liking to this variety saying the fruit are somewhat bigger and the taste especially flavoursome and good. It has recently been released by the CCPP in California.

Dev, indeed. He has quite an impressive selection, and I'm sure you could request him to import anything from the CCPP's database... (I think he gets it from here, or somewhere that uses their budwood)

Stefan...You amaze me with such a great looking bunch of trees and that rich color even under lights! If I could afford your set up I would..I would give TONS of the right light to get the proper growth...It might even be more than the sun can give mines here all summer..lol Great job.

ya I was tempted to get him to ask his grower down south to do custom grafts but they need orders for 100 which makes it an unviable option
