Thanks, I feel it's quite an accomplishment. Many years ago I had about 30 AVs but only tried propagating them once or twice with little success.

Rosie all three of the pink violets are from the same cutting, yet the blooms on each one are a bit different.

It is not unusual for first round of blooms to be slightly different. I still think it is Opt. Michele. No matter what their name no blooms are exactly identical. I have observed there will always be a very slight variation. No worries!!! Rosie

When you start multicolor AVs from leaves - there is always a genetic drift. Some have more fantasy, some - less, some have better expressed edge and so on. Optimara vaireties are generally very stable - but it is not uncommon to see Rhapsodie Cora with correct blossoms and purple blossoms on the same plant. It is just a nature of these plants - they are changelings.

The way I think is the best to approach - you select the ones that are closest to the original registered plants - you can find Optimara Michele pics - here is the one from Selective Gardener - which is an online store of Holtkamp Greenhouses

The ones that are Michele - but not quite right - make good gifts to friends and family. But as Rosie suggested - wait untl the second bloom to make a selection. First blossoms are not always representative.

One of each of the babies will be getting a new home this evening which leaves two more spots to fill. lol

That's the best you can do! Try to infect the friends and relatives with an AV hobby bug!

Plus the rest will double in size soon - and start pushing one another.
