Most "mini" orchids, once given room to grow, will grow larger. At least, the four of them I have here have grown larger as the years go by. One of them is still in its small pot (it grew another spike before I could repot it), and the leaves have stayed small. The rest are putting out larger leaves.

Unfortunately, this was bought at a flea sale this past summer.

Mini orchid is useless as a description. There are about 100,000 registered orchid hybrids kept on a register at Kew. So an exact name is probably difficult, but at least you could try and give a Genera Name. You probably have a Phalaenopsis orchid, but it could be a Tolumnia, or it could be?????

In the orchid world, mini orchid usually refers to flower size. Not plant size, so,

for example you can have tiny flowers on a Cymbidium orchid which has giant foliage.

Here is a photo of a "mini phalaenopsis" grown on for about a year by a Novice grower orchid society member. Plant still mini with lots of lovely blooms. Alas, No name but it still won a Champion Novice orchid at a show.
