Hi All,
I'm trying to create a modern/ contemporary and functional great room but within a budget.
As for the furniture , we are replacing our sofas but unfortunately bought a darker leather sofa/ love seat almost deep dark chocolate in color. And since we have dark wood flooring in our living/ dining area, I want to lighten it up a little and add accents like area rug/ some light color cushions a light color throw etc.
But I'm also concerned we have lot of dust since there is open land right across our house n we get lot of sunlight / wind etc, have kid, and usually have lot of kids and company in weekends, lighter rug might get stained very easily might happen within a day or two of getting it :(.

Another problem in the dining area I wanna keep our present dining table and remove futon but add a sleeper bed may be just a full size, so that creates added sleeping place and sitting place since we entertain a lot, though we don't actually use dining table everyday.

I've already got 2 bar stools steel frame n black seat adjustable with glass foot pedal. Just so it shows the floor.

I also want the space to look bigger,brighter,welcoming,kid friendly and nicer.

I do want to create some desk/ work area/ storage space/ hutch in the area which has small table and two stools where my daughter presently gets her homework done while I'm cooking.

I did also get a center table and trying to place the sofas n actually setting like in "L" setting rather than the present setting, we are removing the rocker and would place love seat perpendicular to 3 sweater sofa .

The center table I got is round with glass top and has stools incorporated into it for extra seating.

Please please help me create this room.
