Training fiddle leaf fig bush into a tree?

Hi, I purchased a small ficus lyrata bush from my local home depot store about 3 weeks ago & so far so good. It has two branches coming out of the dirt and my goal is to have it turn into tree. Just wondering how this is done? Thanks.
