Just replant them back in their pots & take some rocks from your yard or the street & place them in the pot to hold the plants in place 'til they root.

I wouldn't use the sticks as suggested, just use the rocks instead (I think more effective & certainly better esthetics) .

I wouldn't root them in water unless you plan to keep them permanently in the water (I am someone who grows 1 of my many Sans strictly in water, just 1).

Imontestella, I have rooted in water, but never grown them in water. Don't want to hijack Cathy's thread though so maybe you could write a thread on water grown sans? (unless I've missed a preexisting one already, LOL)

Cathy, As others above have said just use a stone to help anchor the plant till the roots can take over. Thanks for posting by the way!

Ok. I'll try it and take a picture of them potted up. I'll use some rocks to hold them up andsee what happens. These are special because this is one that I split that my mom gave me. Stush, the ones that you sent me are doing fine. I will send a picture on another day and in different post when I move them inside. It's getting chilly here.

Also Cathy, I'd suggest as small pot as possible pls.

Dig down thru the posts, I even updated Karen's water sans with pictures. But not for some of the more fussy kinds and only if kept warm and only the roots are in the water. As Karen knows, they form special water roots that's why she suggested only if you want to keep them in water. In the long run, I think they will do best in a fast draining soil mix.
