Great looking trees guys!! I love seeing everyone's pics! Here are mine. I will not name them all, but a few at least...

My ponderosa lemon...had four big lemons this morning and just now it got blown over by the wind!! I'm so sad! No major damage and I caught it quickly (only some dirt came out of the pot), but two of the lemons fell off!! I am going to try to use them for a lemon merengue pie today.I put the squash in for scale. Not ripe, but I hope they have juice.

Hi Mike. The purple light is not mine but belongs to Stefan Miller. I can say that there appears to be data stating that you only need lights at the opposite ends of the spectrum and you are only waisting money for mid range spectrum lights.

WOW! You all are amazing! Your trees and greenhouses are beautiful. I can only dream and scheme of having so many. I bought my first Meyer Lemon two years ago, my second this summer. I think I've been infected with the citrus bug because I can't stop thinking about them and dreaming of other varieties :) Thanks to all your advice, I sprayed my trees with Neem oil 3 times before bringing them in for the winter. I then sprayed the foliage with Dyna-Gro Pro-TeKt ( I fertilize with Foliage Pro). At the end of last winter my original tree was infested with scale and spider mites - at least now I know what to watch for!!!

I have the two trees placed in our coolest extra room, 66* and 65% humidity, a south facing window and a CFL grow light with reflector. I went to a hydroponics store, showed them my set up and they recommended adding a Sunblaze T5 high output fixture.

My first tree (on the left) hasn't had any leaf drop at all - it is my baby and has 12 good size lemons, tons of flowers and lemonettes. The new tree on the right is a little more fragile and lost a dozen leaves or so, but none in the last 24 hours, so hopefully it has now adjusted.

Dev, what a great setup!!! Love it! I would have done the same thing...I would NOT trust my babies to my spouse! Grin, your trees look great! Your little tree has so many lemons! It must be quite happy and I am sure will adapt perfectly well to your setup.

Moved mine in already. Probably about 2-3 weeks early but I'm having a surgery Friday that won't allow me to lift them for a while. Mandarins re ripening up and the meyer lemons too.

Mike - Thanks , thats why I set the lights to run mostly during off-peak hours to save on the bill a bit :) but since I cant really lower the basement temp ( which I would have preferred ) have to provide good lighting .

Brian thank you buddy I never saw your post about until just now you're right the weather is crazy. Thank you for your awesome complements that means a lot coming from you also a pro. I hope you didn't get any snow yet or as much as you thought you might get. It's crazy just as we said it's going to be a lot colder than normal for the east part of the nation while the west basks in very warm sun just like two years ago. Arg. I hate the cold Buddy like Sugar hates thunderstorms. Lol

Very nice looking yard. I am particularly impressed with your block wall. Did you build it. My 0.125 acre yard rises 21 feet from the street to 2/3 way to back property line. My fences move visibly every year and need adjustments.

Hi Everyone! Wow everyone's pics look amazing. I have been secretly stalking the discussions on the Meyer Lemon for a while as i have issues I'm trying to correct, which I will post on another thread. I got the citrus bug this summer and now I'm a proud owner of Meyer Lemon, Variegated Pink Eureka, and Valencia Orange , with Moro Blood Orange and Owari Satsuma trees in the mail. They will all be going into 5-1-1 mix. I just have a couple pics that turned out. I'll post some more later.

My orchids Love being together in one pot and it makes for a continuous bloom, I'Il have to transplant the single ones into another pot.

This is my little incomplete setup on the south facing window. The Meyer Lemon is being babied. As you can see the wrap is holding the heath pad as I'm trying to dry out the soil and provide more heat for the roots and it's on a humidity tray. Its putting blooms like crazy but the leaves are not doing that well. I suspect the soil mix being too slow to dry as it is not in the 5-1-1. I will be transplanting it this weekend. The Pink Variegated Lemon and Valencia were drying in the shower.

Adri, Nice to meet you! Your tree looks beautiful, as do your orchids. I've never had much luck with orchids, but after seeing yours I may give them another try. I love hearing about other peoples trees in the shower - my family thinks I'm a bit crazy when I give mine a shower :)

Thank you for the warm welcome! Your trees look amazing! I cannot wait until mine bear fruit. Family was looking at me sideways a bit when I put mine in the shower but they've gotten pretty used to my quirkiness! :)

Thank you for compliment on my orchids. If it helps, I use Dyna-gro Bloom, put them a bit away of the south facing window and water them when the sphagnum moss is dry ( not crispy dry) on the top inch or a bit more with weak solution of the Dyna-gro Bloom. They do best when fertilized with a weak solution with every watering. Believe me they're a lot less temperamental than Meyers!

Adri, Nice to meet you. Your Phalaenopsis orchids are beautiful and flowering so well.....a perfect waterfall. Your citrus tree looks good and will do well with your TLC. The crassula is nice too.

Thanks Cory, mine popped quick this year, temps were still hovering around 95 when I put the seed down. We're down to a brisk 90 daytime average and going down to about 68 at night.

I suppose if I could let mines grow that big, they might look like that, but let admit, I would have to live in a place that gets lots of sun and warmth to even come close! My latest addition: A dwarf key lime. My wife and I picked it up at a local nursery yesterday. We are potting it up for now as we don't have room to plant it.

Some nice pics up there! I really like the sky pictures. I could look at clouds all day.

Although I mostly grow calamondins, here are a couple other varieties. This first is a meyer lemon I gave to my sister last year. It had some real problems when we got the (almost free) tree - root problems, bug problems. But we pruned it and cared for it and it has really bounced back this year. It had 10 big juicy lemons this summer so far. The best we've eaten. 3 still on the tree and the tree has busted out with blooms like crazy. It likes this sunny window.

The next tree is a mexican lime that really should have been re-potted this year, or two years ago! We didn't do it because we were not going to keep it (my friend was supposed to take it this summer). And it's not at my house. Now that winter is coming we don't know what to do with it, so it's sitting there till my friend needs a lime I guess.
