Better late than never

This pink rose came with my house and it bloomed one single rose at the end of September. I have no idea what the rose is. It came with my house. The former owner planted a lot of trees, roses, and shrubs but it seems he didn't consider the mature size. So this rose is growing right under a tree. Almost complete shade. I want to move it next year. I don't even know what kind of rose it is but it is at least 20 years old.

Good idea to move it next Spring. Before you try to move it, you might root some cuttings, so you do not lose it.

Thank you! It is very pretty. I really thought I lost it because it didn't rain last year and I neglected it.

Jackie, I think I will try to root it before moving it. I haven't had a lot of luck with rooting. I think my rooting powder is old.

Roses don't often need rooting powder. I rooted many roses before I ever heard of it.
