What color or colors is the roof?

It's grayish, not black but not really gray.

Consider this option - Paint all the trim wicker except the trim boards and the fascia board that circles under your peak and then across. Take these elements down to a putty gray like http://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW7504-keystone-gray/ for instance. Paint your front door in the keystone gray - get the little white downspout in the midst of the brick painted out like the one off the garage is.

I would also paint wicker on the garage gable flat sections. Keep the white molding trim. Paint the fascia of gable and other fascia side, wicker. Paint the door white like existing trim. Paint the two windows on right side same color as bay window trim.

HI -- Continue the same color as the garage door but don't hi-light the trim on the garage front gable ,too busy , just keep it simple is best . Then put a bright color on the front door and paint the window trim the same as the roof edge trim color.

I feel that if the garage gable is all the same color as the garage door, the visual will be unbalanced, the right side of the home will have a solid large area with nothing else to go with it. I prefer to emphasize any architectural features whenever possible.

I really hate the color of the brick and I keep trying to find a trim color that will make the brick look better but I thinks it's a lost cause. I am considering trying to stain the brick. Any suggestions?

HI -- A color that goes with just about any brick is " Ranchwood CC -500 " by Benjamin Moore Paints .

That is why I suggested the deeper toned putty gray against the brick - you just need a darker tone next to it and let the front door pop. Looking at LB's detail I can see two things I would adjust. I would not paint out the tudor trim "below" the thick fascia "belly" band at all - i would paint that area straight across and remove the "tudor" trim that follows below the band altogether / paint it out so you don't really see it. Another thing that will help that area is that you need a new light fixture at the garage - something stately and traditional rather than this security fixture. Go for large scale over the drive and smaller scale at your entry door - like http://www.lightingdirect.com/kichler-11005-transitional-energy-star-single-light-outdoor-wall-sconce-from-the-salisbury-collection/p841838 as an example. they have some good motion sensor options if that is important to you.

I think painting or staining the brick may be difficult to keep up with weather wear & tear. I really like the brick.
