Wow! Beautiful design! Thank you for sharing. Love the glass panel to protect the window. I would like a similar set-up. Currently the window is wood. Would you advise replacing it with a vinyl window. Or if I am adding the obscure glass panel am I ok to leave the existing wood window? Any thoughts? Thank you!!

I think you're ok leaving the window. You could paint or urethane it with a marine grade finish but the glass protector panel should help.
