Thanks everybody after seeing mike's ponderosa i had to get one. Just worked out a trip to orange beach for my birthday and home depot had what i was looking for. If i had more room in cab of the truck i would have gotten a very large santusma mandrian too! Maybe i will drive back down next weekend and get it!!

Hiro..Good for you! They are the least finiky of the bunch! Flower huge and frequent. Don't require full sun to produce fruit and can take just about any abuse you give it! I have several.

Happy birthday, Nancy. I hope you are going to plant it in the ground. That particular variety is amazing in the ground with great production and lots of juice.

No John no ground to put it in(. Mike what should I do about the soil this ponderosa is in? It looks like topsoil and sand. Do I need to try and put it in 5-1-1? or leave it alone until spring? My trees are still outside, day time temps are 75 to 80 nights have been anywhere from 44 to mid 50's. Could i just remove some of the soil and not disturb the roots too much and put it in another pot with 5-1-1 on bottom and top? Any advice ? Thanks

Nancy Nice tree and gift. It appears to be flowering and what is better than flower on your birthday. What state can you go in and buy ar tree and transport rt across state lines. Best of luck with your new tree.

Hey Steve, I went to Orange Beach AL my state sells Citrus trees still and it is almost November, a 4 hour drive to the beach from home. I think I may ride back there next Friday and get a mandrian tree. I can drive there in my toyota cheaper than I could pay 4 winds to ship.)))
