don't know where you are, but here in North Central Texas, we plant coleus outdoors in bright shade during the summer & take cuttings indoors to over-winter.

They'll root in a glass of water on the window sill!

"White spots" could be tiny insects, so be sure to wash them off before you take cuttings indoors.

I have the same white spots on my coleus that I brought indoors. Today I bout a product that kills insects and fugus. We have gnats in the house.

I removed all the soil, sprayed the pots, all of the soil, the stems and leaves. I hope this works.

Though the pictures are out of focus, the white 'spots' look like mealybugs.

They are mealy bugs. Absorb some 70% isopropyl Rubbing alcohol on a q-tip, and touch the white mass; aiming for the raised center where the bug is. This kills instantly. Your plant looks like it would like a bit stronger sunshine. It's easy to pinch down the parts that have a lot of bare stem between the leaved sections, to keep it bushy,
