Backsplash tiles for Neolith Statuary?

I'm using Neolith Statuary (polished) for countertops and am really stumped on finding a backsplash tile that works. I ordered several samples last week that I was excited about, only to find the "white" in them was really off from the white in the Neolith Statuary. I think predominantly white or grey tile would work best, but am stumped. Any recs for a tile that will work? I'm drawn to more modern shapes, like hexagons, herringbone layouts, etc. I love the attached Ann Sacks tile but it's more than I'd like to spend. My fallback at this point is a standard 3x6 white field tile with a darker grout, but I'm still hoping for something more interesting. Thanks!

I'm getting a great deal on Neolith remnants and there isn't enough of it for the backsplash, plus I'm hoping to mix it up a bit.

Look into the elongated hex matte 2x2 tiles. They come in white. I paid $5.57 per square foot. The tiles are horizontally installed except for the range area (vertically installed and outlined by black marble pencil).

Neolith Statuary has a LOT going on - lots of movement. I'd think toward something very neutral and allow it to be a star...because it IS a star.

Can you post an image of your space?

Estatuario is beautiful. You might find it easier to use grey than white on the bs. Can you tell me what your tile budget is in $/SF?

The beige hexagons you show would not be my first choice for this material. It might be fine for Calacatta. Are we looking at the correct surface?

Percyb, those tiles you have are beautiful - where are they from? Thank you for posting.

Anglophilia, I agree that typically the Neolith Statuary has a lot going on. Because I'm using remnants my pieces are a bit quieter (I assume the first owner used the pieces with the most movement). I'm attaching a pic of the slabs I'm using.

I have both Calacatta and Cararra throughout my house so I'm happy with the quieter pieces of Neolith. The room I'm doing now is actually my laundry room - we didn't have the budget to do it when we built our house 2 years ago so I'm just getting to the laundry room now. It's a small room so despite the relatively quiet Neolith pieces I'm using, I probably do need to stay with a more neutral backsplash.

Eam44, yes you're looking at the correct surface, but I have much less movement than the sample you posted. As for budget, I could do up to $20/sq ft.

Thanks very much for the input!

Be careful of Neolith on countertops not as wonderful as the sales people say it is. Chips and cracks easily and repairs are difficult if not impossible compared to natural stone and Quartz.
