They commonly produce pods which open and the fine haired seeds float easily on the wind. Never had one sprout, though.

Orchid seeds are usually grown in lab conditions in a flask. Difficult to do and if you have a cross or rare orchid you might send to a lab to have them grown into tiny!! seedlings and then the flask is returned to you. $$$
