I am so sick of white bathroom fixtures. And no, black, biscuit, and bone are not going to satisfy my yearning for color.

I miss all the vintage pastel fixtures: pink, mint green, and baby blue tubs, toilets, and sinks. And while those colors may exist in too many bathrooms that are decades overdue for a renovation, I think they would be dazzling in a modern bathroom.

I'm envisioning fixtures in aubergine, apple green, tangerine, red, blue-grey, and slate. As much as I love earth tones found in natural stone, the bland palette of a $30,000 spa bath renovation seems a little limited and boring. But while tiles can be found in almost every hue, shape, and size, they're still dominated by all the boring, white fixtures.
