Building Blocks Rail Fence top

Another quilt top is finished. DH insisted the picture should be taken in my messy workshop. It's usually messy, just not this bad. The quilt ended up being 48X56. Also, disregard the date on the photo........sigh.

The space of a creative quilter.

Please advise your DH, that the space is a sign of your creative genius! (At least that's what I tell mine if he decides to visit my sewing room )

    Cool quilt!

Thank you........If you used yardage, it would be easy to make a few quilts like this very quickly. I used some scrappy strips of various greens I had in the container that's up against the wall full of 2 1/2" strips. I wonder how a scrappy kids novelty would look.........I have some odd sizes of a few of those. Maybe I'll cut a few and see what happens. :-)

The famous "Maybe I'll cut a few and see what happens." Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.

Story of my life (& my design wall, all 7 layers deep of UFOs).

Very nice indeed. Rail fence is my favorite go to pattern. Mess. I don't see any mess.

Is that you behind that quilt? Another great quilt. Your workshop looks just like the rest of ours, so don't worry about it.

My husband likes to take pictures of my my work mess and post them on our facebook page. My daughter replies "every artist needs her space". So there you are, an artist.

Cool pic! Nice to know I'm not the only one to take pics of inspringing designs I see outside the world of quilting.

Nice brickwork, Karen. I was walking down a hallway at a hospital with my BIL many years ago and was telling him the names of the tile blocks in the flooring as I knew them as quilt blocks. Fun time with him. They are all over the place.

I like your quilt, some one is going to be very lucky to receive it. Looks like you have several other quilts in the works too.

Oh loralee, there are quite a few quilts in the works. I've lost track of how many. However, there aren't as many as there used to be even though I continue to make more. :-)

It is fun to have quilts to work on. My mother got me started when I was a teenager. No actually it was my grandmother. She sent me a box of brick blocks already cut out. I still use this quilt but it is now in the camp trailer. unfortunately, after over 50 years of use it is not in great shape.
