Earwigs... Help!

last modified: 9 years ago

I have had some issues with my leaves being eaten recently. I have a navel orange that is curiously dropping leaves, otherwise it is lush, green and looks normal. I was suspecting maybe root rot was starting (I've lost a non-grafted cara cara to this recently because it was not in 5-1-1). But the roots on this plant look healthy and normal. But, EARWIGS, lots of them, were living in the dirt. I suspect these are the guys eating my plants, and there are quite a few of them in this one gallon of dirt. I have 100 plants, or more and I cannot afford to repot them all.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with earwigs!?

Thanks,

Stefan
