I love your coffee table where did you get it? I think it looks fine But if you want to add something how about mason jars spray painted and filled with flowers? Maybe add some color to room through pillows and art.

Yes I was thinking a yellow serving tray as well. Put the candles in it. Also, I would have done a yellow throw. Might be too much fur. Your room looks amazing...don't worry (I read you asking if your room looks ok so far).

Perhaps a lamp w a yellow base. And the art above FP. Don't go overboard. That and everything I mentioned above would be enough color for your space.
You could also think about getting a decorative FP cover. But not yellow...just something metal. Just for extra interest:)

The cushions need more colour and pattern. Move the existing together and add in some more subtle gold colours.

As far as decorating the table, how you actually use it will dictate how much you should put on top. I wouldn't focus on that, I would focus on the walls. Where is your art work?!

Table in the corner needs a tall lamp. Draw your eye into that space to give the room some depth.

Fireplace - the two black lanterns look great. The top though needs larger items, the scale is a little bit off.

Thanks so much Jordan for your help ... I hope it's not too much fur or the room looks too dark I'm trying to have some accessories like flowers or accents that will keep it from being too much gray or dark. Hopefully the art and what you suggested does the trick! I have a hard time putting things together and visualizing

No it's definitely not that the room is too dark! It's just some variation (in this case between pillows and throws) would be nice. Just keep doing what you're doing because it's working-;)...but add some color:) should we give links to lamps, trays, etc we think will work? Or do you want to shop by yourself first?

Hi Jordan please send any links on pillows coffee table objects I would greatly appreciate that... unforuntaltey my hubby doesn't want lamps don't get me started so trying to do what I can we have coffered ceiling so we have lightening above

Jordan -I think square? Our table is rectangular so to mix it up? That yellow is nice but too bright? Anything more subtle or even n open facing one? Not sure but if you don't. Ind send as many options you have I'm all ears! Even the end tables since no lamp I'm stuck I want it to all flow... I think my style is rustic elegance?? Lol

There does need to be something to draw the eye up in the living space (the FP does that on the other side of the room).
What do you and husband think of tall plant? Or a picture in this corner that I circled (in addition to above fp)?

Here are the 4 walls... ya I like the plant I. The corner vs a vase since it's real and adds pop of color. The kitchen is on other side very open floor plan and is cream cabinets and blueish backsplash so the colors I have are grays, (hate the rug but stuck with it again hubby wanted it ugh) black, white, and navy blue.
Yes I need artwork but don't want things to clash just tie it all in and pop and be a wow factor? We don't have a formal living room so this is our family room/living room so trying to keep it in between that. Hope this helps and thank you.

One last thing before I go off to make mockup...since there is blue in kitchen, would look great to have blues and yellows in living room. The two colors look great together. Love your rug btw:)

Hi you have a lovely, very elegant room. Agree with all of the above comments. Perhaps though a more subtle yellow/gold would do the trick using one extra pllow & the tray. Also a plant or even a soft yellow orchid on the side table would be nice.

Grover I think they are gonna put art over the fireplace. I was thinking eventually, there could be a small piece of art on the wall w the outlet to draw eye up. Maybe curtains could do that instead.

I tried to make the colors a little more subtle. I'm just really big on color personally lol. But this isn't as colorful as before. I'd still use the yellowish throw on one of the chairs.

I am not sure if the artwork above the fire place goes? perhaps it does and i'm just not a designer to see the vision? Where did you find some of the pillows in the last picture? THANK YOU again!

I just realized I wrote something intended for this convo on another convo lol. It said "I think it's ok for the tray and art to be bright, but I'd keep everything else somewhat subtle." I wrote that before I sent the vibrant tray so that tray might've been a surprise for you lol sorry

Well I think that the painting above the FP is very subtle. It almost blends into the FP in my eye. Depends what you want.

Lastly, these pillows all have blue and yellow in them, and would look great and subtle enough in your room:)

Good suggestions so far. I'd repurpose at least one of the fur pillows to another room and add in the colors suggested above (either gold/yellow & blue). You have a beautiful home.

We would definitely suggest a larger, rustic vase with fresh cut flowers. Flowers always tie together a space.

Not sure if you decided on the decor on your coffee table yet? Couple suggestions...I think all your decor pieces are to small scaled for the size and design of the chunky coffe table...you need much bigger items. Here are a few inspiration images to provide scale for your table. Think big:)

Here are a few pillow ideas..

No faux flowers--one of the Houzz rules and a good one. Just get a gold tray and put some interesting books, candles, etc. on the table and call it done.

I agree no plastic vines or ivy in a basket..but now from higher end stores....you can purchase gorgeous realistic flowers but it is a fine line as to how many you should use in your home..I feel that a high quality orchid or hydrangea can really be beautiful!

I have always loved this sophisticated rustic space...thought of it when I saw your family room and thought you might like it!

I was kidding about the Houzz rule, though Houzzers seem to be uniformly against fake flowers and plants. Put things of personal interest and value on a coffee table--beautiful books, candles, coasters, a colorful tray--something personal, not something fake. Amen.

She uses a lot of neutrals with very small pops of color...I would do neutral linen drapes...neutral textured pillows with maybe one patterened...baskets and large glass bottle neck vases..hang a mirror over fireplace with a large magnolia wreath hung over it!! I would do a rustic windowpain mirror design. Go on the Magnolia Market website she has a lot of decor and accessory items that you will love...I have a good amount in my home and have been to the Market 2 times live not even 2 hours away:)) sooo fun!! Thank you all for you input and comments I'm still working on the pillows and side tables and artwork but I just re did my coffee table and added a pop of color with red with cranberry fillers in my lanterns and box and i plan to get red flowers for the tray what do you all think now?

How tall will the flowers be? I think if they are pretty tall, everything will look great:)
