Trying my hand at growing a kousa dogwood from seed. I've cleaned the fruit and pulp off, now I'm soaking the seeds in room-temp water for 24 hours. I'm planning on wrapping them in a moist paper towel and stowing them in the refrigerator for a few months. Anything else I need to do?

I usually try to nick the seed coat, but these seeds are so hard! Even after soaking, they barely showed a scratch. Much different from the citrus seeds I'm used to--those seed coats were very soft after soaking.
