I started Aronia plants in 2014 from seed. This fall, they have many buds on the stems. My question is if these buds will just turn to leaves and branches next spring, or if they will turn to flowering, fruit producing clumps? 2017 will only be the third year of growth and I've read they will likely not produce fruit until the fifth year when started from seed but my seedling bushes look much better than the dry-root plants which are supposed to begin fruiting in the 3rd year. In six-months I'll know the answer to my question, but I'm anxious and wonder if anyone has an idea what fall buds on an Aronia Bush become in the spring?
