I would really look at your gray and decide what the undertone is. Is it green, blue, green-blue or violet? If you don't know, you'll never go wrong with white. If going with white, you do have the flexibility to add in an accent tile (of some kind) or just use white tile and have it off-set depending on what size you choose. 12X 24 in an offset pattern (as Beth describes above) works well. If using 4 X 16 subway tile, you can have them installed vertically instead of horizontally (like most do). This is a much more modern look.

Hi Beth size of bathroom is 136" x 60" wide..will be putting in a 72" wall mount vanity with double faucet. So what r your thoughts on the square 24 24 tiles for floor and shower walls.

cc,,,,these are 12X24 on the walls and prob larger on the floor. This is what an offset pattern would look like w/those size tiles. (although this shower reminds me of a prison cell!)

this one is stacked horizontally on wall and floor (you have to get matte tiles for the floor). I like how they did the inset niche w/smaller tiles.

I can't really tell, but these may be the 24X24 on wall and floor. You don't see many using this size because it can start to look like an office bathroom.

stay w/rectangle size and try and soften it by using some glass or a bit of color. Especially since you are going w/all gray. Plus, your room is narrow at only 5'. using 2X2 squares may be too much for the space. I would stay in the 12X24 or even smaller.
