But looking at your yard I think the first thing that comes to mind is planting to soften up some of the hard edge work. Maybe consider matching the coping with the stone you go with. It has a nice flow to it and will also soften the area around your pool.

here is a good example of how like colored stone can soften edges...there is no break in value or color change till you get to the water...hope this helps.
