My vote is for the flexsteel - love that navy fabric

Thank you for the advice! That photo does make the room look a little dark - this one might be better. It is somewhat dark for most of the day because the sun is on the other side of the house at this time of year and the unfinished ceiling is making it look darker than it will eventually.

How cozy will that be! Either would be fine. I do love the second printed fabric.

My preference is the patterned blue, but I do think you're going to need a larger rug. You'll want to pull it at least a foot from the hearth, if not more, and you won't have space for both chairs and ottoman on that one. Remember you have to keep the ottoman safely away from the fire, so I'm thinking you'll be happier pulling the rug and chairs to the wall where you now have the table and lamp. You'll be surprised at how much space they'll fill. They'll still be ideally positioned for enjoying the fire. Get a table to put between them (it should arrive at arm height) and a lamp and art for the wall. It will be very cozy.

Here is one more picture before we bought the house and started renovating that shows a couch on that wall where the table/lamp is. Since it is near the front door (to the left in this photo) and not a full wall, I wasn't sure it would look good to put chairs on that side. Do you think it would still work even if this is a main walkway from the front door?

I would say, get the chairs and then see how they look best in the room. You might have enough space for the chairs and that console table. I don't like the way the couch looks there. I would rather have the armchairs facing each other or at an angle towards the fireplace, away from the wall,,You just need to have enough space for walking

You might have room to face the chair toward each other and use a small loveseat sized sofa with small arms to add to the grouping. Walkway would be behind small sofa.

In warmer seasons use the chairs like this.

Why don't you try Eames lounge chair? It looks cool and very comfort . I bought my chair from manhattan home design. This chair is simply amazing. It's elegant and it's comfortable. I really enjoy sitting in this chair and it looks really good and fits my room design very well. The leather is also very high quality and the condition I received it in is perfect and even better than in the picture. I'm really happy that I found this item from manhattan home design because my old chair was making my butt hurt all the time. I have no regrets buying it and I think it is well worth its price.
