1. What type of wood and was the deck
   exposed to sun and approx temps??
2. My Guess! If the wood is treated and stacked out of the
   hot sun it might hold as is..
3. IMO a change of environments causes
   more chance in untreated wood.
4. I have a variety of wood from inside
   storage, stored outside years w/o any changes, “out of rains”.
5. I feel you can monitor and get on the
   project faster if you see the wood changing.
6. That should be nice using 2X6
   material. Please share a design idea or pic..

Tom , since it is stained I would think it would hold up within the elements for a few mths , if you can provide shelter that would be the best approach if available ?

Thanks guys. It rests level on about 40' of pallets under the clouds. I didn't want to take up the room of the shop in the end. I could have put it under the lean to, but then that stuff has to block up my shop. Need a bigger shop! The coop should be a cool thing though no designs as of yet.

You might consider ripping some of the 2 x 6's into 2 x 3's for lighter duty projects. All the rafters on my wood sheds are 2 x 3's from the old deck I tore down.

The firewood shelter and the total Pic is a dream. We have had some mid 60s in North Tx and my
patio is loaded. I pulled a 4’x4’ stack
to expose a squirrel’s nest (between rows) while the young are up and
running. I am looking forward to a
restful/rehabbing winter vs struggling with squirrels.

"treated" was mentioned in the OP. All the lumberyards around here have their treated lumber lying outside, rain, snow, sun, etc. Not sure what the issue is?
