Does the brick look more orange because of the color of the siding? The color of the brick will look fine with any shade of warm beige, tan, taupe, etc. I wouldn't worry about the color of the brick too much....it's pretty and is traditional looking. Try painting a couple pieces of 2x4's with some of the colors you are considering. Then lay the 2x4's next to the brick, stand back and you should be able to see what will look best.

I would remove the shutters to allow the Streamline Ranch Style (horizontal lines) to show! Clean and modern feel would be nice!

One option is to pick a color that provides some contrast with the existing brick color such as grey-blue tones.
