Hi there - this may seem like a silly question, but you have the depth listed as 36" - but is that measurement in fact the width (as in the width of the shelves). I would consider the depth to be how deep the shelves are - the distance from the wall the bookshelf is against to the edge of the bookshelf. Can you confirm that these two measurements are switched?
