Thanks for your question. Our buckets are all rusted to some extent, but each is individual, so you can request what you'd like in your order. We spray all rusted areas with polyurethane, to protect items placed in the bucket from rust as much as possible. Expect that handles, side straps, and base will be fairly rusted. If you want one with a stronger patina, let us know, and we can make sure you get one with additional rust (though will be poly'd, unless you ask for us to send you one that has not been treated).
