We're okay physically. As far as Maslov's heirarchy theory, we're not doing that great. We're powerless. The futility is THICK.

What do we gotta do? Pack up and leave our properties behind?

I didn't feel it down here in southern OK, but I'm okay with that. Our dogs might have felt it because they (and they're too big to be lap dogs...much too big) came and tried to climb into my lap last night around that time and started barking. Since we have had serious coyote problems the last few days, I just figured there was a coyote outside making them nervous.

Bon, I don't know what the answer is for all of y'all up there in what is rapidly turning into Earthquake Country, but the state has got to find some kind of answers. Just look at all the damage done in the Pawnee quake in September and at how very little of it, relatively speaking, was covered by insurance. This cannot go on. People's main financial investment usually is their homes so something has to change. I know folks cannot just walk away from their property and lose it and destroy their credit rating at the same time, so somehow, something's got to be figured out and fixed.

You know, down in the DFW metroplex over the last 10-20 years, the cities have begun buying people out of homes in flood plains that flood over and over again. Then the cities demolish the buildings in those flood-prone neighborhoods and restore them to flood plains, allowing no buildings in those areas. It took at least 40-50 years of constant flooding for the cities to decide to bite the bullet and buy out the flood-prone areas, and because it is so costly, they just do it bit by bit over time. I hope that it doesn't take that long for something to be done to help folks in the quake-prone areas.
