I thought this weed was creeping charlie, but it isn't vining. it does have a scent. The stems are round, not squared. However, when I researched malva, sources indicate there is a long taproot. These little weeds do not have a tap root and though labor intensive to get the large area weeded, not difficult to pull. The area is a daylily bed island surrounded by not so healthy lawn and these weeds are also at the border line between lawn and garden bed. I put down cedar mulch after weeding. Are these malva and what is the best way to eradicate this weed?
