For the most part, an in store interior designer is a salesperson. This is not to say you won't occasionally find real talent, helpful suggestions with planning room layout, fabric selections or anything else for that matter. But DO remember that person is there to SELL MERCHANDISE. This will not be "hand holding" advice, repeated trips to your home, and in the end......repeat the "sell" word. Nothing in this life is truly free, the extent of the help you will receive, will generally be in direct proportion to the amount of money in the purse you are carrying: )
