durability of glass backsplash?

Considering using glass tile for my back splash. Wondering if anyone here has thoughts on glass durability for this application. I have glass tiles in my bathrooms and love the look but noticed during the install that it scratches very easily. It does not get much abuse in the bathroom so this is not such an issue, but in a kitchen environment could be a different store. thank you in advance.

Well, you can't clean it with a scratchy cleaner, but otherwise, I don't really see the difference. Glass cleans up pretty easily.

You should not have any problems installing glass backsplash in the kitchen.

And it is very easy to clean.

Durability for a glass backsplash... Haven't heard that one before. Considering the glass backsplash will not be getting wear and tear you shouldn't have any problems.

Really very little abuse happens to backsplashes as mentioned no abrasive cleaners and the tile should not scratch in install with non sanded grout which is what should be used anyway and small grout lines
