Frankly in all the instances I have used it, there's been no need to wash it as It hasn't been used behind a cook top without creating a stainless shield to prop up, or the cook is on an island with tile near a sink and is thus no issue at all. A little soapy soft scrub brush if a major splash. Seal it first in any scenario, but honestly, it's hard to find a spot if one does happen: ) Three of my clients have had it for over four years with NO issues.

I went with a marble tile . I have had many comments of how nice the tile is , but to this day I do not like it . The granite is busy and I wish I had just used white subway tile . Hope this is helpful .
