LIght bulb limitations/recommendations?

last modified: 9 years ago

A couple areas in my 2009 MH would benefit from having brighter light bulbs in the ceiling fixtures, but the fixtures carry a "Max 60 watts" label.

Given the year of manufacture, I'm sure that label pertains to standard incandescent bulbs. I don't know if the concern is for overheating the fixture with a hotter bulb or overloading/overheating the wiring by drawing more than 60 watts to the bulbs but either way, I'm thinking I wouldn't have to worry about either issue with LED bulbs.

Would it be safe, do you think, to install 13-watt (75 watt equivalent), or even 16-watt (100 watt equivalent) LED bulbs in those fixtures?
