Most carpet cleaning companies are able to stretch carpet and will move the pieces that have to be moved...and it's pretty reasonable, price wise!

Definitely have the carpets stretched. Buyers want move-in ready homes and will pay more for them. It sounds like you should consider editing some furniture also. The goal is to attract buyers attention, showcase the homes positive features, detract from ...not so positive features. Removing furniture will make the room look larger. Edit but don’t over edit. Over editing will make the home look cold and unwelcoming. My top advice - Call a professional Home Stager in your area. Search Houzz, Google, RESA-real estate staging association, CSP-certified staging professionals, or other staging training schools. Some stagers are full service and will hire carpet companies, cleaning companies, movers, etc. for you or can refer you to quality trades people. Rippling carpet is also a tripping hazard and it would be well worth the expense and effort to avoid accidents while your home is being shown to potential buyers.

Houzz has a key word generator program that brings up other threads with the same key words that you see on the right hand side of the page. The problem is, a lot of them are from a year, two and now 3 years old. I don't know why they don't fix this...........
