Well, lesee, babies can only see black and white, and then there's a period when primary colors are best. So neither is ideal. However, I prefer the color and whimsey of the latter over the overly adult formality of the former.

I prefer the first one. Mainly because it has a modern look and u won't have the need to reprint or change it again in a few yrs. But it's for that reason I wouldn't do my own baby's room in that option. For me, I'd want a baby's room to be much more "cute".

but I don't care at all for the second choice either.

Depends on how much work you're willing to take on. The first one could be put together in no time but it's pretty cookie cutter. The second one has personality but will take longer to source and assemble.

You only get to be a kid once, unless you are like me and never grow up;) #2 for me!
