It is quite popular to use the same tile on both the floor and the wall! Sometimes the exact same, sometimes a different size on the wall, or if you want to add something to break it up you could run an accent tile throughout the shower, or an accent wall! I have included some examples from displays in our showroom, and manufacturer photos!

Why not? Just use something smaller on your shower floor and you are good.

Thank you all, for the input. Due to the fact that the Leonia Silver tile comes in different sizes, we do have options as far as using smaller/larger tiles & what we do w/them (pattern).

I was considering putting a glass subway tile on the shower walls, to match the Leoni Silver porcelain bath floor tile.

I'm still not sure what we've decided...as far as going with 1 tile and using it for the shower walls AND bath floor. Or, still keeping w/the Leonia tile for bath floor & going w/a *different* porcelain tile for shower walls only. FYI - we are putting in a white acrylic shower pan.

The only thing...Im just not so sure about the smaller tiles/more tiles & grout lines. it's just like everything else. ...just got to maintenance it.

What about using the larger tile on both floor and wall and using a few rows of the glass staggered in a horizontal or vertical accent strip?

We weren't originally....my husband & I both have agreed we didn't want a decorative tile, but, since it's neutral/simple, I may chg. my mind. Well see,... I do like that it would add a little contrast.

I found an even better glass tile I liked, but, at $13 Sq ft....I don't think so. However, if we did(an accent)I wouldn't feel so guilty going w/the better looking one.

I like 12x24 tiles on shower walls. We are about to do ours with this size.

If you don't like small tiles. Don't use them.

Here's a bathroom where I used the Leonia Silver on floor and shower walls. (Here there was a tub, but I don't think that really matters for your question. I'd have done the same thing if a shower stall were an option.) I used a wavy white tile as an accent (also from either Lowes or HD, can't recall), and smaller tiles on the wall than on the floor.

Color is a bit off in the listing photo, but you get the idea anyway. The one thing is that this tile doesn't offer a small mosaic option, which is usually best for a non-slippy shower floor (grout is your friend for footing). I'd check with the tile folks about whether they think that the tile has enough texture to be on the shower floor.

Your glass seems a decent match, but I'm not sure you want it for a whole shower, and I don't see the benefit over just using the smaller Leonia size...

We used that very tile on this project. 12x24 for it all. It made the room feel mor spacous, and I think it came out really well. We did use a different tile for the shower floor, and another for the deco band that tied it all together with some contrast.

I went to stores today & brought back some tile samples...one of them being the leonia silver.

It helps seeing/knowing that it'll look good, if we did both(shower walls only/bath floor)using the same 1 tile.

And, we're going w/an acrylic base, so, we don't have to worry about more tile deciding!

We're doing 2 bathrooms. I can't wait to get started! I'll probably be asking a lot of ?s & posting a lot.
