Hi all - We are rebuilding our chimney because it had started to lean and needed a new footing. It's not that fun a project because it's a "need to do" versus a "fun to do" thing - but it has occurred to me that I have a choice of brick and wanted to check in with you all to get your thoughts. As you can see, our current chimney has a reddish brick and it's probably not that great a match with the house, although honestly it never really bothered me that much. We have a second chimney on the other side which has brick of a similar color, but that chimney come out the middle of the house and so you only see the top of it - not a whole length down the side. Should I stick with a similar color for the rebuilt chimney, which vaguely matches the color of the other chimney, or go for something different?
