She made me do it

My enabler didn't want me to do the things I had planned for today but wanted to go to a local nursery instead. I told her that they only had landscaping stuff and that we did not need any but she insisted and so we went. I was wrong. She spotted the tree below:

It's a lemonquat. A cross between a Meyer lemon and a kumquat. Like a kumquat, you can eat it whole. From the LA Times: Fruits large, round; rind smooth, bright orange-yellow, sweet and
edible; pulp orange-yellow, tender, very juicy, moderately tart,
pleasant. Backyard favorite in Texas

Mike, one thing I did not mention: after we got the tree, she went around buying other stuff for herself and gifts for others. So, although the tree was $60 we had a $25 coupon so that meant it cost $45 which was a fair price. But we ended up spending a lot more on other stuff. Oh, well, I love her anyway and I guess I will keep her. We have been married 36 years now. My how time flies when you are having fun.

Lovely little tree Vladimir. I will be waiting patiently to hear how the lemonquat fruit taste after they are ripe. I came close to ordering one earlier this summer, but held off.

Your wife is a keeper and congratulations on being married 36 years. My hubby and I recently celebrated our 36th Anniversary together also. It has been quite the adventure and we look forward to a lot more years together in this life..
