I know growers that sell compots. Would that work for you?

I'm so sorry, I don't know what a compot is. Do you have a picture of what it looks like?

I dont know what a liner is and I have grown orchids for 25 years

My only thought on liners is what you put inside a basket to keep your medium from falling thru. Somehow I don't think that's what the OP is talking about. I'll be watching for clarification of the word.

and I just figured out what compots mean, I think they would work too! They might even work better than liners...

plastic pots. If you are going to "line" your fancy pots with the plastic pot it may cause a problem. It would be OK for short periods of time like when in bloom but the orchids can't live like that. Orchids need maximum drainage. Double potted will not drain. They will drown. If I have the right perception...Plastic orchid pots will have holes sides and bottom.

If you search, orchid flasks, orchid compost, orchid seedlings you may find what your looking for but I'm not sure that is what you really want.

I don't know if you know the process of germinating orchid seed but it's a science on to itself. Then the process of raising a seedling to flowering can take 5 to7 years.

If that is what you are looking to learn about there is a lot of info out there. If you want to learn about the flowers check e bay for NBS or BS plants ( near blooming size / blooming size)

You don't want seeds or cuttings. Growing seeds is very difficult and complex and not for beginners. Cuttings are of no value. What you want is divisions. Large plants can be divided to make smaller plants. Good for trading otherwise large plants are better. Purchases made called bare root saves money. The buyer must pot or mount the plant. Bare root adds time until your first flower but saves money on plant and postage.

If there is an orchid society near you and you want to learn to grow orchids then join!.

The meetings are usually once a month. If you can find a way to be involved with your local orchid group your rate of learning will dramatically increase. Worth the one hour drive.
