Nobody but you, Digit!

I wonder how many of the young'uns around here have ever even seen Dr. Who! Been a long time now, but I think I've seen (more recently than the 60s!) all the "black and white" ones--I think they were the original ones, but never paid much attention after "the doctor" "changed!" I have Rabbit Ears TV and haven't seen ANY of them being rerun for many years now!

My, that's a LONG time ago! I didn't even move to Colorado till '64!

P.S. What was the name of that crazy TV show where the guy was always being "chased" by the "big bouncing ball???" I never could figure out that show!

I never followed the old Dr. Who but in the last six months I've borrowed the new series dvds from the library. On season 6 now. Saw the episode "A Christmas Carol" last week. One expression that came up several times about Christmas day was that "we're halfway through the darkness".

Is that what Christmas is? Instituted at the depths of winter darkness, so that we are careening downward, on this Black Friday ... no wait, this day is when the retail establishments change from red ink in their ledger books to black. Americans fight over purchasing their children's toys, affirming their adult responsibilities. Lather, Rinse, Repeat

Thinking of heading for the border with the leftover turkey!

Skybird -- Patrick McGoohan's "The Prisoner." I had to look that up. I always switched channels. Looked like he awakened every episode from a bad dream.

I like food prep on holidays with people drifting in and out of the kitchen. And, the rest breaks, with something to drink, as we catch our second wind. Do you suppose we could just forego the rest of it?

The Prisoner! Thank you Digit!!! I never would have thought of that! I never watched it either, but left it on sometimes long enough to TRY to figure out what was going on! Never did accomplish that feat!
