Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Now, I see some scale on my elliptica (grrrr). I also see some webbing, so there may be spider mites as well. This one is a strictly indoor plant, so I was going to use BATS for the scale problem and maybe some miticide later. Then I saw this post with greedyghost's comment about elliptica being sensitive to BATS as well as any spraying, treatments and soaks. Now I'm scared to even use the soap/alcohol/water spray on the plant.

Has anyone done any bug treatment on elliptica? How did it go? Any suggestion on what I can do?
