Your pictures look like stinkbugs if so they are not friendly.

It looks like a stinkbug to me too. I don't think the shoulders are pointy enough for it to be an assassin bug.

Nope. lol. They are hard to kill. When I see them, I just cut them in half with my garden scissors. If you choose to squish them between your fingers, you should wear gloves to avoid transferring their stinky smell to your skin. I try to watch really hard for the spring and summer hatches. When they hatch you can have dozens of tiny ones together in one spot. When I see that, I use a lint roller or a piece of duct tape to pick up the whole batch of them all at once. Then I wrap the lint roller paper or piece of duct tape around them as I wad it up, trapping them all inside. Then I toss it in the trash indoors so that if any happen to escape from the sticky paper, I will see them and kill them. The best way to control them overall is to kill each one you see as soon as you see it so they cannot breed. In autumn, every one that you kill is one less that will hibernate/overwinter and then begin breeding a new generation in your garden next spring.

Squash every one of them you see.

Thanks! When I googled, it said not to squish it because the stink would draw in more stink bugs. I'd much rather ask people I know for advice.

A dead stinkbug is a good stinkbug.
