I have Exotic Star grows as an evergreen but Papillio throws almost all the leaves in the summer, in July.

Does your Exotic Star flower even though it's being grown as an evergreen?

They are very beautiful!!! I can't wait till mine flowers.

I don't own this beauty myself but I gave one to my mother 2 years ago and it rebloomed last year. I think it lost its leaves recently.

I grow almost all my Hippis as evergreens with less water and lower temperatures during the winter months. Most of them keep their leaves and flower in spring.

Exotic Star is another variety that I wouldn't be without!! I too grow most all of my bulbs as evergreen and I just went down stairs to check on mine and it's jobbing out with new leaves so it continues to grow well under lights!!

Oh I hope it's not a mislabel. The bulb does look a lot like a papilio hybrid with an elongated neck and the leaves look kinda thickish and very papilio like. I'll post pictures when it flowers.
