Weird looking azalea leaves....dying?

okay so I live in South Eastern pa and have these cute mini azalea bushes..about 2 feet by 2 feet..7 years old..but my newly planted 1 year old are turning too.

So it starts with the green black on tips and progresses to yellow or spotty...leaves fall right off when touched. all the under leaves are doing this...closer to the tops seems better but it seems to be spreading. I have never seen the black leaves before...too late for them? normal fall leaf drop? fungus? this just started about a month ago..november. no unusual conditions for the area.
