Removing that wood trim between cabinet. Also would a smaller pendent light work over the sink.

I'm not sure about color or bold color. Trying to keep it neutral don't want to date the kitchen sooner than later lol.

Statuary white marble in a staggered 1x3

White subway tile all the way, it's a classic look and will reflect the light making your kitchen appear larger. Don't busy it up with more marble, you already have marbling on the counter, and you really don't want all the grout to keep clean from penny tiles in your kitchen, those are better left for smaller areas. Make the subway tile stand out with light gray grout, or for even more "pop" go with a beveled subway tile - you can find them for around $3 sf. You'll also find it'll be easier to find matching bullnose and pencil edges to go around the window if you go with white subway tiles. Good luck, you've done a great job already!

I would definitely consider the pearlescent white hexagons or penny tiles. White subway is going to be exhausted soon, if not already! Grey grout would accentuate it as well.

I'm not "exhausted" with my 12 month old white Subway. It's easy to maintain and a great choice in my small white kitchen. I also have white Arabesque below my hood above cooktop. My best to you. BTW - you have a lovely kitchen.

Alia, it looks like a regular ceramic subway tile laid in a herringbone pattern. You can find subways at 3x6, 2x8,1x4,3x9 and do them in this pattern. Even HD sells these. tilebar.com has a ton of subways. just find one you like and have your tile installer do it this way.

I think adding marble would be too much and compete with the counter. I would go with the white subway tile...kitchen looks beautiful ....maybe some brass pulls,,,,if you like a bit of glam. LOVE the counter. Would you share the name please.

The counters are white quartzite. Not sure what the name is.

What about just a gray glass subway in a chevron pattern..I think that would give you somewhat of a classic transitional look

These real metal 2'X2' tiles come clear coated with a waterproof and rust proof finish and are easy to install. Plus they really pop!

Alia, are the counters you got called "Super White"? If so, It's not a quartzite, it's Dolomite.

Honestly I'm worried about that. I've read up on that issue talked to the stone yard. They assured me that it's quartzite. But my fabricator said it's marble just by cutting easy looking at it. Ugh I gave up. Now I'm babying it just in case.

They called white macubus. But I googled it didn't look the sAme.

yes, with the macubus it etches just like marble. u will have to baby it. very pretty though.

I would keep it simple and do a white subway tile....instead if a 3x5 you could do a 4x 9.

what if you got a white thassos marble in 1x4 herringbone? while I like the one you have on the end, I don't know how busy it would look w/the movement in the countertop. if you don't think it's too busy, then I like that one.

Love the first and last one. I'm in love with the herringbone look. It's just the colors I found are not right. The end one has beige in it,and I don't want that. So where can I find the 2 you posted?wgat about the 3D subway tile I just stumbled on it.

My counter top is Marble on the island and is very similar to yours. White quartz on all the counter tops. White subway will never go out of style. It's not bossy either and will let you change out color and decor anytime perfectly. Lay it traditional or herringbone it will be beautiful. Hardware RH I do have knobs under the sink and on the glass cabinets, not pictured.

yes. I love that one too. Look at the 'super white' I think it's called. It's white marble and quartz mixed to create a hassle free stone. I have a sample of that one.

Did I miss something? Isn't that a 4 inch or so, matching backsplash in the first photos? Or is it just sheetrock that's damaged or something?

lol that's where they took out my old counter had the 4 inch back. It's damaged looking for tile to replace the old back.

I thought I wanted the raised pillow style tiles too until I thought about it longer. I realized I couldn't just wipe straight across it because it would not be a flat surface. So I thought it would be harder to keep clean. Now I'm going with a standard subway tile. Don't know which one yet, but we will have similar counters to you, but ours will be more of a creamy white, rather than bright white with the grey

Small scale Carrera marble tiles would add a sweet touch. You can play off the quartzite counter but get a more subtle effect than the dramatic veining you already have. Nice job on your reno!
